At The Woodlands Institute for Health & Wellness, you are not a patient, rather you are part of a team.
Dr. McManus and her staff are passionate
about offering the finest personal attention and medical care to their
patients. They spend ample time with each patient in order to understand
the causes of their symptoms and educate them about the solutions. It
might be unusual for a patient to spend a large amount of time exploring
symptoms with a doctor, but this is the standard practice at The
Woodlands Institute for Health & Wellness.

PD2i Analyzer™
Imagine these scenarios:
If you have diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, take stimulant medications such as diet pills, decongestants, or ADD medications, or would simply like to know if you are at risk for sudden cardiac death, PD2i Analyzer is the place to start.
PD2i isn’t your ordinary EKG, although this is one of the components of the analysis. This is a newly patented technology like no other, and we at TWIHW are excited to be the first to offer this special testing in our area.
Your autonomic nervous system (ANS) controls your heart rate. There are several factors that affect your heart rate, such as blood pH, hydration status, body temperature, emotion, and blood pressure. Under normal conditions, your heart rate varies moment to moment to moment due to these factors working independently, but this is not something we can hear when listening to the heart. When your body is compromised by insults, such as with trauma, dehydration, or certain medications, or by chronic diseases such as a heart condition, your brain takes control and coordinates these systems, and the heart consequently beats more regularly (i.e. with less variability). Your body has a natural ability to compensate for abnormalities/ stressors that occur in the body; however, serious symptoms or complications, including sudden cardiac death, occur when the body loses its natural ability to compensate over time. This is what the PD2i Analyzer measures.
What is your peace of mind worth?
$250 for current patients, $299 for new patients
In Regards to Insurance
Because we are committed to enabling our patients to obtain and maintain health and wellness naturally, and the services provided by us are based upon a natural and preventative approach, it is rare that they are covered by insurance companies. Once your claim for your initial visit is submitted, if records are requested (which occurs about 70% of the time), it will likely be denied by your insurance company as “not medically necessary”. Because of unsuccessful past experiences in attempting to assist patients with their appeals, we are unable to provide any additional assistance beyond submitting medical records. If, by chance, your claim is processed without review, the most that is usually paid is about 40% of the entire wellness evaluation. You may submit receipts for your medications to your insurance company, and may be reimbursed for them. Many plans will count the evaluation costs towards your deductible.
Please know that if you are eligible for Medicare, Medicaid or Champus, you must sign a waiver. This waiver is required by these government agencies and states that you understand that you are waiving your rights to file your claim to, and seek reimbursement from, Medicare, Medicaid or Champus or any insurance coverage secondary to any of those.
In all cases, we appreciate and expect payment in full for our services at the time they are rendered, and in return, we pledge to provide you with exceptional attention and medical care as we place you on a life-long path of health and wellness.
